Our Story
Hi! I’m Becca
That’s Me! I am the pony smuggling, goat wrangling, nose smooching mastermind behind this chaotic little farm!
I grew up in a small town in northern Alberta and I was OBSESSED with horses for as long as I remember! I was reading “how to care for horses” books in kindergarten and I vividly remember being so excited every time we drove by a herd of horses, despite living in town.
My parents bought a farm when I was about 7 and we moved out to a HUGE property in the middle of nowhere! It was a dream come true!
Not long after, my parents surprised me with my very first riding pony Gypsy, and her friend Jewel. The cherry on top of the cake was that both mares were pregnant! This was easily one of the best days of my childhood!
I didn’t yet have a saddle, but I taught myself to ride bareback on Gypsy and that is how I spent as many days as I could possibly spend. Just a girl and her pony. Gypsy wasn’t the easiest horse to get along with, but she was bombproof and she taught me patience and she gave me the beautiful gift of a perfect foal.
A New Beginning..
It didn’t take long for me to outgrow Gypsy and my parents surprised me yet again with a new horse. He was a purebred Arabian and a lot more horse than I was used to.
Once we formed a bond though, Falaire easily became my heart horse. We did everything together from jumping to cattle sorting to racing. He was a once in a lifetime kind of horse and I never let him go, even after I moved from the farm to pursue a wrestling career, he was always close.
My parents sadly sold the farm, but I always had Falaire with me and we found a new home in central Alberta, where I would meet my partner and welcome my two wonderful children into my family.
Sadly, Falaire was growing old and frail and in 2021 I made the heartbreaking decision to let him move on to greener pastures. I will never forget my old friend.
Before Falaire’s passing, my husband and I agreed that I could get a miniature horse after he passed, because I had always wanted one, but had never actually met one before!
Naturally, despite grieving the loss of my best boy, it didn’t take long for me to start noticing the classifieds of miniature horses and when a really cute registered pinto stallion popped up, I knew he was the one!
It started with one…
That pinto stallion was nice enough for my dad to take notice of him and offer to buy a couple mares and start a breeding program as miniature horses were always something he’d dreamed of owning. I was already involved with showing rabbits, so naturally, finding the mini horse community was the next step!
I was a little nervous to join a horse club, but the miniature horse community is one of the most welcoming communities around!
I took to social media to start sharing my journey and hopefully inspire others to get involved in the world of tiny horses and I love connecting with others who enjoy horses too!
When I’m not creating content or playing with the horses, you can find me tuning into a true crime podcast, doing my nails or some kind of creative craft! I homeschool my kids so we are always ready for an adventure!!
Orianna
Ori is the glue that holds the entire operation together! She is so helpful with all of the animals and is often helping catch horses, fill waters, feed hay and pick up poop! She is a fundamental part of our program and the horses all love her!
Ori has a special focus on the hunter/jumper classes and her horse Champayne is nothing short of brilliant at jumping!
Estelle
Estelle is our resident troublemaker! She ensures all the animals are kept on their toes and are comfortable in chaos. She loves petting and holding the bunnies and occasionally dumping their food dishes, but mostly just chasing them around, ensuring they stay in tip top shape!
